Todo empezó allá por el verano del 2002. Mientras todos estabamos en las playa, Manu Ortega (voz y piano), David Ortega (bateria) y Dr. Bofill (guitarra sensitiva) se unieron bajo el nombre de UNO. A estos nombres les acompañaron bastantes músicos más durante poco tiempo, hasta que el cuarteto se completo con Pepe M. De los Santos (bajista).
Cito las intenciones textuales del grupo : "... queremos hacer algo distinto, original, llenar el vacio que existe en el panorama nacional...". Y vaya si lo estan haciendo.
Las primeras demos del grupo iban llegando, y con ellas, intenciones de grabar de varias discograficas. El proyecto estaba en marcha, lo que provoco la entrada a grabar lo que seria su primer disco, Sensitive Rock. En este primer album entraron todos sus mejores temas, todos ellos en inglés.
Se dice que la grabación de un primer disco puede hundir, o dar vida a un grupo. Pues bien, gracias a Daniel Saz, logran encontrar y dar forma a ese estilo que iban buscando, a ese sonido que ahora mismo los distingue del resto de bandas locales.
Si hay algo que los ha hecho diferentes desde su nacimiento, ha sido la seguridad que les da saber que pueden ofrecer ese "... algo especial..." que empuja a una banda hacia arriba.
Desde ese momento, cuando hablamos de UNO, decimos que es " El referente local preparado para dar el salto al mercado nacional".
En abril de 2006 UNO se encontró con un pequeño problema y, tras casi cuatro años de vida, los componentes del grupo se vieron obligados a encontrar un nuevo nombre artístico para la banda, cosa que no fue nada fácil. Después de una larga búsqueda, UNO pasó a llamarse eXIT.
En estos momentos estan sacando al castellano los temas de su primer album, y haciendo varias canciones nuevas, para el que todos esperamos, sea ese último empuje que le falta al grupo para ser de los grandes de nuestro país.
